"Strange Notes on a Stranger Page; Kate Sight Reading"
You and me, we've found ourselves performing here in the wilds of this new continent. Yeah, we might have picked where we wanted to land, but we also hold close the fact that we don't know what we're doing.
So here we are, in the midst of a jungle of a score of a symphony we've never heard, by a composer whose name sounded familiar at first but once we tried making sense of the harmonics, we realized we were extremely mistaken about.
We look over a cello line, you do a decent job of whistling the piccolo part as I plod through an attempt at a trombone solo, all while trying to make sense of chord changes and tempos. In the underbrush we forage for instruments that look familiar, and we set out on a path trying to make our own bits of magic out of strange notes on a stranger page.
